My communications tool died this morning; not the battery, but something more serious. I'm sending this from the Pawling Public Library PC. If I happen to be near a major town I will look for a Sprint Store; maybe they will replace it. I'm still in Pawling this morning. Sorted through things from Annice; packed 4-5 days of food in backpack and mailed the rest to Falls Village, CT where I'll pick-up on Tuesday. Slept in the town park last night in the pavilion. Not as cold; much easier to get up this morning. I stopped at the fishing store and got my Burly fix, and I'm off. It's a pretty day.
hey, you are doing the same trip that i am planning. can you tell me where you have camped? I read the name of the places but how far off the trail are they in what direction? I want to know how much ground i should cover in a day before I run into the next site to sleep. I will be starting in killington vermont then walking to vernon new jersey.

I'm so sorry to hear about the phone. Just read your previous log, and it sounded like things were going well. In fact, it was actually starting to sound like fun (I can't believe I said that - no room service, no spa, no Happy Hour, no clean sheets, no bubble baths. Fun?) Well, I guess that's why there is chocolate and vanilla. Hopefully you will find a way to stay in touch. I've been enjoying your journal. Hope there will still be a way to keep posting. Take care.
